My 50th came and went without hitch. Yes I received my 50th anniversary Elton John LP, so I am satisfied in that department! Another LP I received was the album Hands by Little Boots. A dance-pop act from Blackpool, she released her debut album in 2009, and it saw limited release on vinyl through her website. Our task was to locate a copy that did not cost silly money. Fortunately that was possible. One slab of galactic speckled vinyl in a clear PVC sleeve. Delicious.
The birthday cake was no let-down either. She arranged for someone to make me a chocolate orange sponge. A thoroughly delicious and well made one at that. I try to leave cake alone, but for a 50th it is obligatory. Together we demolished it over five days!
A new desk also sits in the second bedroom. This replaces that second-hand white corner desk that we took on a while back, all peeling and rugged in its appearance. Now there is a newer, smoother one on offer, and when I set up the desktop PC on it, the keyboard decided to pack up! Onto Amazon to wing a new one to us.
