First up - I am not dead. You are sadly going to have to wait a bit longer for that! My health may be poor but I am still in existence. COVID had its effect on me, and my mobility gets worse, but I still breathe.
My 51st birthday was wonderful. I bought a flute in 2006 but had to sell it in 2012 out of hardship. Hannah's present to me was the very brand and model of flute that I let go of back then. A real blessing of a gift. Of course there was vinyl too, but that's a given.
My mum suffered a stroke in July of last year and has been left a shadow of her former self. She still recognises me and my voice, but it is hard seeing her so small and decimated. She is on end-of-life care, meaning if something major happens, they will not seek to revive her.
Not much else to say other than keep on keeping on. Try to stay well, and most of all, don't worry about me. Concentrate on your own. They need you.
