The new vacuum cleaner arrived this morning, and the first run was a joy. Yes it wore me out, pushing that heavy beast along as it pulled up hers and the cats' hairs, along with old Shake n' Vac powder that the old vacuum could not bother to. It was bloody good exercise that left me sweating, but that is a good thing. Sweat and increased breathing are necessary for good living.
Next on the list will sadly have to be a turntable, as a recent spin of All The Best! by Paul McCartney was, for some reason, accompanied by a faint burning smell emanating from the 35-year-old spinner. The following night I spun the Pet Shop Boys' Behaviour, and the worrying aroma was there also, reminding me that you don't p*ss around with electricity. I guess I should be thankful it lasted as long as it did. It is also Sod's Law, as I recently paid off my credit card balances in full, and am now having to flex them once again.
