Goodbye smoking habit!

Thursday 2 February 2006 - 10:07 pm

It was around April of 1986 when I started smoking. Back then, it was £1.40 for a packet of 20. Now, you can expect to pay £5.10. More than about time to quit, eh!

There were two reasons for me stopping: first the cost, which I have already outlined; and secondly, spongers. Is there really such a thing as a "spare" cigarette? No, of course there isn't, but that doesn't stop numerous people coming up and expecting you to hand over. On top of this, some people just cannot seem to take no for an answer. I know smoking isn't cheap, but that's no reason to expect others to cater for you! Anyway, these freeloading scum have got nothing on me now - I am now a non-smoker! So put that in your pipe and set fire to it.

This is now the next step in my get fit regime. I've lost 60 pounds in weight - taking 10 inches off of my waist. There's even a six-pack starting to emerge. My energy levels are flying high, and now I can only add to that. My body looks good, and I feel so much better than ever. Now I wish to stop making myself look like a prick! So, as much as I enjoyed them, it's goodbye ciggies.
