More than just a fluteboy

I bought a clarinet today, as I fancied learning that too. It's surprisingly harder that I thought. Any clarinet players here? Any advice for an absolute beginner? I can think of the following:
  • How often must you change the reed?
  • There are different grades of reed - which is more suited to whom?
And anything else which may be of use for me. My only irk so far is the 'fuzzy' lips I get from the vibration of the reed. Just don't try to play the flute straight afterwards - your lips won't respond properly! Or maybe it's just me. It feels like I've been snogging, and I haven't had that sensation for years!

Come on, teach me to give a good blow! I'm sat here playing I'd Love You To Want Me, which I guess is a start.

Well it is getting easier, after only the second day. I've got that Lobo song off to a tee now. And Baby One More Time as well!
